Tracheal Collapse Grades 1 To 4

Vets commonly grade collapse by how much the airway narrows when seen with a scope or imaging.

Grade	Airway Narrowing
1	About 25 percent
2	About 50 percent
3	About 75 percent
4	Nearly closed

The grade is only part of the picture. Where the collapse is, how the dog feels, and other airway or heart problems matter just as much. Ask your vet which grade your dog is and how it was measured.
